DEV UPDATE


6/30/25

I'm ashamed to say it's been an entire year since the last major update! Unfortunately, this is not a full-time project and life tends to get in the way. I've temporarily moved back to Virginia Beach from Brooklyn due to some health complications and a pending surgery, but development is still moving forward (and will likely be the only thing I'm able to work on for a while, post-surgery, as I'll be practically incapacitated for a few months).

Since the last update, James has managed to finish all systems that were previously incomplete or in need of polishing. I've played around with a few different visual styles but ultimately decided the original style was most appropriate, and I'm currently in the process of redesigning some of the betal levels that I felt weren't engaging enough.

As of now, there is no set demo release date. "Sometime in 2025/2026." is the best I can offer at this pace. The plan is to crowdfund or reach out to publishers afterwards, so hopefully the rest of the game will come faster than the demo.

We’re still alive! It’s been a long journey here but The Secret of Luin Demo is finally nearing completion.

We have a few new team members who will be assisting with programming and CG animation/VFX. Sarah is pretty much finished composing the Demo OST and we’ll be working on a Bandcamp release of that in the near future. I need to set up proper pages on Steam, itch.io, etc. soon as well.

Shooting for a late Autumn/early Winter Demo release!
